    Re: Luggage Racks

Here's some info on the rack. I don't think you can order it from this link. Send Aaron at ThunderbirdConcepts a PM or email.

Cute John. I was refering to that picture being an awesome candidate for TBoTM. Then it would be on the front page of the site, for whomever, to see.

I don't think you can order it at all right now. The first run was a test at a reduced rate, and I think (???) Aaron is waiting awhile before a second run.

            Re: Luggage Racks

George finally had time to put ours on our Inca:sun:

to Aaron for making one available.

Sally, It might even come on our trip in May.

So if anyone is hesitating, it was a piece of cake for George to install. Rack is very sturdy so the 50# weight limit should not bend it all.

Dot, where are you and Sally going in May. Is that an event that we don't know about?

Ooohhh, Dot. That rear image on the dirt road is beautiful. I know I should not say it again, but I have to..... the Trunk Rack looks like it's supposed to be there. It looks really good with that white top.

Figured you'd like the photo, Aaron. "Dirt" road is actually chip seal with smooth pebble river rock - no mud, no dusty dirt

                      Re: Luggage Racks

                      Hi there,

I have a question about the new luggage rack. When driving at interstate speeds, does the rack produce any wind noise. I only ask because the first vehicle we had when we arrived over here was a Ford Explorer which had an aftermarket roof rack fitted.

It came in very handy sometimes but it did kind of whistle a bit once we got on the interstate.

                      Just a thought.

                      Gordon.

Get one and try it out, Gordon. Haven't had ours on the road yet.

I drove Goldi on the interstate about 5 miles after installing the rack - I did not notice any noise...just a lot of people looking at it - or were they just looking at the Bird?!?

It blows me away at the reactions we still get with the Tbird. Yesterday, was; "these Tbird's are going to be classics". This was from a gentlemen who drove a 1963 Corvette.... and you know Corvette owners don't throw out compliments like that to their rival cars unless it really makes a solid impression.

Elle, did it ever cross your mind that they were looking at you and not the car or luggage rack? Beautiful women get looked at too.
