  • Heated Seats Cold

My luck, it gets unusually cold here in South Florida and my heated seats broke. When I press the buttons both lights light, then go off immediately. I know you guys in the cold north are laughing at this, but 30's and 40's to us Floridians are like being in "0" weather up there. Got an appointment today at the dealership to have them fix this under warranty.

Sounds like a heat senser is stuck in the off position, good thing you still have a Warranty. About a week ago it was -20 here with wind chill factors of up to -40. My T-Bird is put away for the Winter, last time I drove it was Thanksgiving Day. My Wife drives my 04 GMC Z-71 to work when the roads are bad, She likes the way it drives through the snow with the 4WD. So I'm left with her 08 Malibu LTZ, I love it too. I hit the garage door opener from in the house and start her car with the remote start and let it warm up and the first thing I do when I get in is turn on the heated seat. Leroy

Yeah, well it's already warmer today. In fact it's warmer outside than inside. Now I'll have to wait till next year to try out my heated seats. The dealer thinks it's a short somewhere.

The past couple of weeks the temperature with wind chill was 19 below zero. My driver side heated seat quit working last week. I'm glad I park inside at home and at work, but I sure miss it when I go shopping.

Can't have my Bird in anything but perfect condition.
Price quote today (2-9-9), repair cost will be $470.
