  • Ford ESP Expiration date in system wrong

I have an '05 TB with an 84 month 100,000 mile Ford ESP. The ESP was purchased prior to expiration of the original 36/36 factory coverage, and extended the warrenty to 03/29/2012 or 100,000 miles. I had to use the ESP (in another state) for the first time in December, when I had a rear hub bearing failure. I had to call the ESP prior approval phone # when Ford Svc attempted to obtain coverage approval for an entire assembly reference # and was rejected. (FYI - warrenty coverage is almost always keyed to individual part numbers - a request for coverage of an "assembly" will usually result in a "not covered reply".) I noticed the Ford Oasis Report generated by the svc dept showed my extended coverage as 60 month / 60,000, expiring on 03/29/2010 - 2 years and 40,000 miles short of what I paid for. My original dealer was able to correct the record, but it took lots of e-mails, phone calls, and a personal visit to finance office to get it done. (Took 5 weeks) If you want to verify what Ford ESP lists for your coverage: Ford ESP Prior Approval 800-321-7790 (have your VIN) Tom

I just ran into a similar problem last week. I took my 02 in for warranty work under the ESP program (first time). When I purchased the warranty at the end of my 3/36 factory warranty they incorrectly entered my mileage as over 40,000 instead of the 6,600 as stated on the odometer. The problem didn't get flagged until now when they tried to process the paper work and my current mileage of 21,000 miles. The dealership had me come in and made copies of the original paper work and corrected the problem, but I'm afraid if I had not had all of my service records showing my mileage I may have had a problem.

I thought the dealerships kept all info on their computer systems, and it could be accessed from any Ford dealership?

They did not have a copy of my original ESP paper work showing the mileage at the time I purchased it. I'm sure the red flag was that the car had less miles on it now then what was entered when I purchased the contract. I also detected that some kind of separation exists between the ESP network and Fords service computer system as they should have had all of the information needed to correct the problem. I think it was easier for them to copy my paper work and send it to ESP then try to handle it themselves through internal research.

Phil, all of my data was available in the dealer records, but getting a correction made in the ESP file was really difficult. The dealer finance assistant was unable enter changes via online input because the "outsourced" data handling was so screwed up. Then the language / syntax / "we can't do that here" crap began. Getting everyone singing from the same page was neither easy nor quick. So like the man said 'better check it before you need it."

Printing the exact expiry date on the products is very important. Because this is the question of the life of others. According to top paper writing services, People trust us. Eating a medicine that is out of date or expired leads too death. This is very important to deliver good products.

This is great work from the author! I was not expecting such a decent article from the signnow.com/ask/what-makes-a-signed-document-legal author today. I am going to impart this to my mates now. They'll value the great work here.

An academic writing service review is a comprehensive evaluation of a company or platform that provides writing services for students and scholars. The purpose of such a review is to assess the quality of the services offered, the competence of the writers, the reliability of the platform, and the level of customer support provided.
