Some of you may have noticed during my SAFFRON updates, that 02bluebird was expecting some Christmas gifts from Santa - in fact, there is even a picture of SAFFRON searching under the tree, but alas, found nothing. Well, just moments ago, a friendly face from Canada Post delivered the first shipment of chromed engine parts, and WOW... they are gorgeous !!
The "first" shipment is the operative word - parts include the two strut tower caps (one is much more "fussy" and those with 02 Birds will know what I mean (at least I think this part is unique to 02's), as well as the oil dip stick, and fuse box lid. And 25 fasteners are all chromed !! (You know those weird ones which you "press").
Part 2, which is currently entering the final chroming stage, includes the "engine cover", and that really big flimsy part which is up front over the radiator - it has various names, but I hope you know the part I mean. So these 2 key parts should be done and delivered in a couple of weeks, barring any problems.
When all are done, I will definitely publish some pictures - be warned, wear sunglasses !!! Days like this, I almost forget it is still winter !! Man, I LOVE CHROME !!! (by the way, thanks John (aka Johnny Gumballs) for your advice.)
