Shop Manuals and electrical manuals (hard copy) are listed for sale on ebay all the time. Various prices so check the whole 2002 Thunderbird ebay motors list.

      Re: radio

You don't have to do anything to the radio to use its normal functions.

The Sat radio is plugged into the radio wiring behind the console and the wiring then runs to the driver's side of the rear in the trunk for the Sat transponder. It really is not noticeable at all if it was installed per the directions. If the antenna was installed on the top of the trunk lid it can be removed as it is just stuck there with double sided tape.

I would suggest that you leave it alone as it won't interfere with any of the other operations of the car and you may want to subscribe to the Sat radio at some time in the future.

        Re: radio

If you want to pull out the radio it is an easy chore.
1st take trans. out of Park to one of the drive positions, this gets the shifter out of the way as you must pop off the lowest curved panel that joins the tower to the console. It just pops off.
This will then give you access to the bolts that hold the climate control in place. This must too be loosened because the bolts that hold the radio are behind the climate control.
Also you will need to pop-off the center dash air register. It just pulls straight out with a good firm tug. Under the register trim is the top two bolts for the radio.
The radio's wiring is long enough for you to bring the radio out of the dash to get behind it to remove all the connectors. 3 without SAT harness 4 with it.
        Have fun.
