  • 007 in JCP commercial

Albeit a very brief shot, a 007 was used in a JC Penny commercial that I saw last night. Only the left mirror, left part of the windshield surround, and the top part of the passenger seat were able to be seen in the commercial but it was clear that it was an 007.

I'll have to watch for it. What channel did it appear on? show? time?
JC Penny has used old Thunderbirds in the past in their catalog.

Well I hate to admit I watch that piece of garbage since Sean Penn had to turn it into a political statement but, it was last night during the academies.

lol - well, I'll admit that I didn't watch the acadamies last night. ncis marathon til 10 last night plus nascar kept George entertained all day. Sounds like it might be tough to see that ad again.

Don't feel bad Lonestar; I watched it, too. Didn't catch the car though.

Just saw this during Entertainment Tonight. Caught me off gaurd, but I think those seats were black. Certainly looked like pinkish mirror caps, though.

ok, now did anyone that saw it think to record the segment - even if you had to use "replay" on your TV?

                    Dot,

Here's the press release from J C Penny (direct from Plano, Texas):

                    http://www.jcpenney.net/News/News/JCPenneyShowcasesBeautifulandAffordableDesignerBra ndsinNewSpringMarketingCampaign,34.aspx

I don't remember the designer in the commercial.

From the description of the ad it wasn't “Heart” Ronson by Charlotte Ronson.

                    The other possibilities are:

Nicole Miller (most likely from the description)

                    Bisou Bisou by Michele Bohbot

ALLEN B. by Allen B. Schwartz

                    Fabulosity by Kimora Lee Simmons

I did a quick search of their sites, but couldn't find anything.

I don't think the ad showed much of the car. I wasn't paying attention until I saw the left mirror of a dusk rose go quickly past. Might not have been more to it than that.

                        Re: 007 in JCP commercial

                        I found it.

Somebody took a video of their TV because their sister was in the commercial.

                        Don't blink in the beginning or you'll miss it;

                        http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cb16wmtTzYM

turns out the designer was ALLEN B.

Seats are obscured so it's hard to tell if it was a true Galpin Ford Dusk Rose with full accent interior.

Here's another commercial that ran at the end of the Oscars.

This was a compilation of all six J C Pennys commercials that ran during the evening.

They included the Dusk Rose in this one too:

Doh, what was I thinking.... not a 007, not with black seats. Oh well, at least I nailed the bird in its brief flight in that commercial.
