My thoughts on straps for the luggage rack, besides bungy cords, would be 2 nylon straps in black or a tan leather like color about 2.25 inchs wide. All hardware would be stainless steel. This would all be weather proof and could stay mounted on the rack. Kind of a classic touring car look.
