I went to the local Tbird club meeting this morning and all went fine through all the rain and wet roads. I was sooo careful driving there and back. The problem came when I got home. I backed the Bird into the garage, got out, headed up the steps and hit the button to close the garage door. That's where my Friday the 13th struck one day late. I wasn't paying attention when I came to a stop and didn't back in far enough. One stinkin' inch further and all would be well. But me being the idiot I am has me here telling my tale of woe. the handle on the garage door put an inch long scratch on the nose, took the paint off the tip of the nose and has scuffed up the grill to the point that it will have to be replaced (flaked chrome and scuffs on it). The kicker is, I took the bra off the car just this morning in hopes of meeting up with Steve Longacre who has a Bronze so that I could get some pics of his Bronze with a Tbird Blue top. The bra would have saved the nose and maybe the grill from damage.
So please feel free to give me some good swift kicks in the rear for my bone-headed stunt. Oh and by the way, if anyone has changed out their grill for a billet grill, I am now in the market for their old grill. Or maybe I can have mine re-chromed.
