  • Friday The 13th

On Friday the 13th I was driving back from the car wash. That day, I decided to treat my beautiful WHITE Bird to a car wash and hand wax. As I was driving on a 3 lane road, a truck (couldn't see which one), must have left a quart of bright red lacquer paint sitting on the bumper of his truck. As it bounced off, hit the road and vaporized, I said "AH, SH--T? I was in the left lane and had no where to go. I thought I may have missed it until I went by and could smell the lacquer. When I got home, I found I had red spots all over the car. I had to scrub the the car all day with a solvent to get the red spots off. Just in case that truck driver is reading this thread, I only have 3 words to say to him, "F Y A!"

I took Sweet T out of hibernation Friday....the 13th. Actually thought about it, thinking, this is going to be a mistake, but the weather forecast was great for the weekend. She went on the road at 3:57...just before the insurance agency closed.

Took her to Nahant Beach on Saturday, parked kitty corner to a jersey barrier......safe.

Took her to Plum Island Beach on Sunday.......next to a fence......safe.

Took her to a sales meeting this morning.....was running late....only one spot in the parking lot. I figured, oh well, what are the chances.

Met a friend for lunch....I was early. He came in and said, "What happened to your car...there's a scrape all the way down the side?" I thought he was kidding and laughed it off. He said, "No, I'm serious." Went out and sure enough.....from the passenger wheel well to the front of the door.

He says, "You don't happen to have a rag do you?" I smiled and popped the trunk. Asked him which kind he wanted, blue? orange? yellow?

There was so much wax on the car....it all came off, except over the wheel well.

      People s*ck.

I want one of those power shields that the super heros have so that things will just bounce off my Bird and it wont get scratch, ding or fade :)

Hey, you guys from Nahant and North Shore area...remember Roland's Icecream? That would really show your age. Always nice hot rods there at night.

It was located on the Lynnway, on the right hand side just before the Nahant Beach turnoff.

I guess that was before my time. I remember the tennis courts and the boat launch.....before they built elderly apartments at that sight.

I remember Christy's on the opposite side of the Nahant rotary.
