Ted - have a fantastic trip! I'm so excited for you and just a wee bit jealous for the great drive you are going to have!! Why didn't I think of buying a Bird in the Keys??

That's a great plan Ted. I think some of the best trips are the ones with no agenda. Who wants to be on a schedule during a vacation? Have a great flight down today, and it's a given that you'll have a blast on the trip back. Hopefully you'll have some top down weather on part of the trip. Congratulations!

Ted, Have a great trip. One thing you will have to get used to is the stares from other drivers.

          I love that!

Oct. 08 (the last time I had it outside) I was at a store. Two high school guys came up and asked if they could take pictures, I agreed, of course. But I made them wait until I dusted it first.

Same day: three girls pulled next to me at an intersection and said, "we love your car."

Ed, nice pics and what a beautiful bird. Ted looks very happy but I can't wait to hear how he likes cleaning all those spokes.

Ted, the pics Ed took would be great to start your gallery with. Wish I could have had someone like Ed to take pics of me when I picked my wife’s T-Bird up.

Oh, and Ted, welcome to the site!

Ed, thanks for the pics of 2 great cars (Ted's and yours in the background)! Ted, is that an Auburn hat and shirt you're wearing? I am a HUGE Auburn fan! Guess that's 2 things we have in common! The car's a beauty, and don't worry, cleaning all the spokes is totally worth the time it takes! Safe travels, friend! :sun:

Those pictures are great and the car is beautiful! This has turned out to be a great story. As far as cleaning the wheels, I've found a couple of spongie-type brushes at the auto supply store that make cleaning the wheels really easy.

Great pictures, Ed, thanks for posting them!

Ted...that car looks awesome. The RED color is great, but doesn't really go with that ugly Auburn shirt on. Of course, now you'll have to convert over and be a fan of a REAL college team, like the ALABAMA CRIMSON TIDE! The car will even match a good TIDE shirt, then! It'll look great a football games!

Seriously, congrats, Ted, you'll love the car and the good times you have in it.
