yes, Leroy - whisper white is the same as ceramic white. the Wixom painters even referred to the color as ceramic white and didnt know that ford marketing/designers had rechristened the name to whisper white for the Thunderbird.

They use many names for the same paint. I'm holding some Motorcraft "Performance White" touch-up paint in my hand, the numbers are:

WB, WP, YA, WT

For years GM had a white called Blue Toned White. It looks like just any bright white until you put it up against a pure white, then the blue tone stands out. This white would look great with Thunderbird Blue.

Thanks Brad. We have the 007 TBird with performance white hardtop and have been looking for to correct touch-up paint. Please confirm part number , Leroy posting stated suffix as 1208A.

I have a Whisper white on my Ice Blue. Bought it on Ebay. See the thread Hardtop Relay, Salt Lake to Boston. It ties in nicely with my partial white interior. White walls and my punch list is done. (for now anyway)
I would describe the Whisper white as a creamier white and the Performance more of a chalk white. The Performance white was an option color for quite a few colors including your 02 and standard for the 007, Whisper whilte available only with Whisper white bird. I see both available time to time. I think either white would look nice on most of the cars. I have seen a couple of 02 blues with Performance white tops and I think they are drop dead gorgeous. One time in 02 I chased one for miles on the highway to get a closer look.

Bond #578, I got that paint number from TB Concepts, but they don't have a touch up paint for that number. Dupli-color has a Performance White WT touch up though. I've used the Dupli-Color spray for Mountain Shadow Grey and it matched perfectly. Leroy
