Do you actually use them in that beautiful southern weather or is it just that you just like collecting them? I can understand the point of having many options - it's cool. Up here, however, we can't wait to take them off. - Jerry
You're right, Jerry. The top stays off for most of the year here, but from about Oct - Feb, I usually leave it on for a few weeks at a time. I just like having different colors and options. Only takes 5 minutes to swap them out anyway. Adds variety, and keeps people lookin' at the car - even the ones who see it everyday!

you're right...it doesn't take much effort to change them...it's great that you have that option.

        Bobby:

To follow up on Dot's post, perhaps Jim Youngs or someone else connected to the TBird program, could shed some light on the paint code that would have identified the dark blue color that was to be used on later year retro Birds. Very likely it would have been a color already being used on, or planned for, other Ford products. Just a thought.

That's agreat idea, Dot! I looked up the paint code (DX), and it is the same one used on the some of the Fusion model years...should be easy for a paint shop to match.

Everyone has different ideas, Bobby. But, since you asked and want something totally different, have you thought of a deep golden brown/bronze, or maybe a pretty charcoal? Personally, I can't see blue on blue, but could be wrong ...... We'll all be anxious to see whatever you decide.

                Bobby,
As a MSB owner, I'm not too much on the bronze with the MSB. The bronze looks awesome with mostly darker colors (however it would look great on a whisper white) like black or merlot. If our blue was darker the bronze would be outstanding. I like your idea for the MSB with a darker blue top. I see a lot of Mercedes convertibles in a blue that is similar to our MSB with a dark blue convertible (canvas) top and they look very good. The idea of the charcoal might be OK or even better than OK - I just cannot picture it.

Claude, I didn't mean our standard bronze as I don't think that would look very good either. I was referring to a deep golden brown/bronze or a charcoal (deep shade). In decorating, blue and brown or blue and grey (any shade) always go very well together. I even put blue Christmas lights on our dark brown cedar home.

                    Marilyn,
Sorry, I was thinking about the Tbird bronze.

I hadn't thought about a brown/bronze color. That might be an idea. The great thing about it, is that if it doesn't look right, I can always take the top off and go with another one!
