The deal with the computer virus April Fool's joke got me to thinking it would be interesting to start a thread about the best April Fool's stories from TBN'ers.
Let's hear from you about how you may have been caught or how you did it to someone else.
I'll start with one that goes back a few years.
As some of you know I was an executive in the newspaper industry.
On April 1, 2003 I started the department head meeting at our largest newspaper off on a somber note. I explained how there was a rash of acquisitions going on in the industry especially with money from foreign investors and that our company has just been acquired by a Swedish outfit.
I told them that the new CEO (my replacement), was due in the office shortly and that his name was Lirpa Loof. I then wrote the name in big letters on the chalk board in the conference room.
I said that I though Lirpa was a nice guy and that I was sure he would be good to work for. I also said that he had a number of Swedish executives with him and that it was probable he would put some of them in place at key positions throughout the company.
There was absolute silence in the room and then the questions began.
However one of our brightest folks, smiled and took the compact mirror out of her handbag and held it up to the board so all could see what Lirpa Loof, looked like in the mirror.
