    I guess I misunderstood...... Haartz doesn't make soft tops; they only make the material. I contacted them, and here is their reply:

      Way back when, I had a '56 Chevy convertible, turquoise with a white top. I know it was harsh, but I cleaned it frequently with Ajax and a scrub brush. It came out sparkling every time, with no apparently damage to the top.

        Way back when I also had a 1956 Chev. convertible, gunmetal gray and white. Think the top was black however. Sometimes wish I still had it today. Just a lot of good memories.

          Well George, you didn't get the exact answer you were wanting from Haartz, but wow look at all the names of places they sent on to you to contact that use the Haartz product.

              Robbins made the top for my 82LeBaron when I had it replaced in 93. No complaints or problems with it.
