valve cover gaskets-order of screw tightening

I am about to replace the valve cover gaskets and o rings on my 2002 thunderbird. I understand it is important to tighten the screws in a certain order on replacing the cover, as well as to torque them to a certain level. Can someone help me with this information? I will be grateful.

I don't recall exactly what the torque numbers were but I'm sure a dealer would give you that info. If I remember correctly I used a standard process of starting in the middle and radiating out for the tightening sequence.

Two things come to mind for me - the need for a deep socket (I'll try to find the info right away) and some silicon sealer for a couple of spots.

Also, I found it was a fairly easy job, just required a bit of dexterity and a methodical approach. Your mileage may vary!
