Since it matches your whisper white top then it must be the whisper white top from a white model.

The Bond diecast is made by Beanstalk and the Thunderbird Blue is made by Maisto. The tops are different. If it is from the 007 then it will have the wings in the portholes.

That's right, Dot. The white top for the diecast is definitely whisper white, it is not the brightness of performance white.

The story behind this little car's owner is that when he moved into his house, the garage was "a show room", and this TBird was part of a larger collection of diecasts displayed in the garage. He put them all up for auction on ebay in recent weeks. He really didn't seem to know that much about our Retrobirds, so this colour combo thing was foreign to him. But I told him to see if he could find another TBird which may be white bodied with a blue roof !! (because I am now convinced that the diecast top had to be swapped from a whisper white diecast). He e-mailed me last night, and said no white/blue TBird could be found.

That's right.

Now that you're getting to know me, if I was in that situation, I probably would have bought the house just because of the garage !! The rest of the building would just have been a bonus !
