Great article, thanks for sharing George.
Wish they sold the car for those prices overhere though. If that was so I would probably have one of each color by now
Sometimes Birds travel far... Dutch T-Bird tbirdregistry.com No. 27947
Yawn. We all recognize the photo of the Merlot & blinking tree from the 2004 sales brochure. Tom said some nice things about the Retro, it's true, but IMO he didn't put a lot of effort into saying anything original or thoughtful. A bit more digging & he could have come up with TBN & The Porthole Authority; instead he mentioned a site which, as far as I can tell, is inactive. I'd give him a higher score for accuracy if he had mentioned that the "manual shift mode"--it's called the SST, Tom--was an option & not, as he states, something that was "featured." No mention of the tops? Hard top--soft top--no top is more printworthy, I think, than the technical stuff about the DEW platform. A swing & a miss for Tom.
Am I too harsh with the lad?
Naw!! He's still a youngin' gearhead. Had he driven one, he would have been all googled-eyed writing the article. And it would just go on, and on, and on.......
"When your car is this gorgeous, people don't notice blinking trees"
I haven't seen anyone post what that meant to me - blinking tree is the light standard between the two lanes at a drag strip - not just the art work tree in the ad.
