Is it true that Ford is producing a 2009-2010 Thunderbird?

I've seen a number of reviews online, but it looks exactly the same as the 2002-2005 T-Bird.

What's up?

I think you're referring to the 2010 Triumph Thunderbird motorcycle. Ford's got no Thunderbird up it's sleeve right now. There were some "rumors" a year or two ago about the possibility of a 2012 Ford Thunderbird, but I wouldn't count on it.

While I know of no current plans for a re-release, I would be interested in reading the articles. Can you provide web links?

I can see it now 2012 electric or hybrid-electric T-bird. You will find a CD in the glove box that gives you the Borla sound as an option. Just put in the speed sensitive CD player and fly away.

I ran across these references to 2009 and 2010 TBirds also. I think these are good examples of one writer getting it wrong and a whole bunch of people copy and publish the incorrect information. As a matter of fact two of the sites picture our 2005 Bronze, one looks like a 2005 Cashmere (50th Anniversary Special Edition), and one Coral James Bond 007 Edition (listed as 2009 2009). As far as I know, even the specs listed are the same as our birds.

Link #4--the Top 100 Muscle Cars--lists Mountain Shadow Grey as one of the colors available for this, um, 2010 Thunderbird, so it seems their source was a 2003 sales brochure. Now, about that "muscle car" we all drive . . .

It appears the online links to a 2009-2010 Thunderbird are in error at best, and a hoax at worst. I heard from Dot Lang (Porthole Authority) that there is NO new T-Bird in the works. Apparently some 'generic' car buying and 'review' sites list a 2009-2010 model to 'hook' or entice prospective buyers.
I guess this is good news?

I remember seeing that image; but I think it was more of an artists rendering (probably one of many) and never really was developed any further than that.

Besides, if that was supposed to be a new Thunderbird, I'll keep what I got.
