          I looked again and it seems the trunk is left intact. The retracting top seems to fold into the same area as the soft top.

                Perhaps if a new Thunderbird is ever designed, it should be made to compete with the Corvette as it did initially. But do to the current economy and the way gas prices are, who knows what the Corvette will evolve to.
