A couple weeks ago, while waiting for a parking space in the local mall, a woman decided to back out of her handicapped parking space. That would have been fine, had I not been parked behind her.
Crumple.
She got the passenger door pretty good. We exchanged info, I called in the claim and decided to go through her insurance rather than go through mine, pay the $1000 deductible and wait for reimbursement from hers.
Picked a reputable body shop, got the estimate ($2200) and scheduled to drop the Bird off this past Monday.
They were able to fix her up better than new (when I bought the car from NC, it had a very small ripple along the edge of the rear passenger wheel well) and I only paid $200 for the ripple fix. They even ordered replacement chrome from Thunderbird Concepts (Thanks for your assistance Aaron!).
Happy camper here.
