    Re: DOOR LOCK QUESTION

I was also frustrated by this. I've learned over time to hit the unlock button on the drivers door twice before I get out, and both doors are then unlocked until the next time I drive it.

Sounds like the same problem so I will take the door apart myself and see if a little lubrication or adjustment will take care of it. I had the same problem with my Caprice 30 years ago and got it working again myself without any parts. How? I don't know, strange how the memory fades in a few short years.

        Re: DOOR LOCK QUESTION

Sometimes this new technology makes things worse. On our Escape, you need to click the fob a third time for the rear glass and hatch to engage in the system. Sooo, like others, every time we get in or out, its always three clicks, whether it be the fob or the door buttons.

Like Dave say's the "New Tech" my G/F Acura you unlock at 50 ft. by the time you get to the car it self locks.A young mother had an Accord put the keys in her bag put the bag in the passenger seat ,closed the door walked around to get the baby out of the car seat .She stopped to say hello to someone and the car self locked with the baby in it.She became a frantic mother as it was in the low 90*.Luckey a P.D. came by and got the door open.I guess this is "new tech " if you forget to lock your car
