      Show car in yellow is not rare. most prolific color of all the retros.

        Make no mistake, the 55-56-57s are part of my model searches and collection too. I'm just hoping that our retreo Birds will become as popular as models as some point as these did. I'm referring to the 55-57s collectively in all scales. But since so few retro Bird models were done during the production run of the car, I have my doubts. Think how many early Bird models were done in the late 50s by numerous manufacturers while the real cars were still in production, or just out of production. I know, different times, different market for the real cars. Maybe the new, small, Maisto version in the works is an optimistic sign.

        It took years for any other manufacturer other than AMT to make 1/24 or 1/25 scale models of the 57. Finally, Danbury Mint and Superior make those sizes in the 2000s.
