          Re: retired my bird

I also re-tired just recently I found the cheapest MXM4's at a local tire shop, Hobson Tire & Auto Seward NE I think 402-643-9333 I check at many palces including 2 Ford dealerships. My tread was not worn out but was weather checked. My 04 Tbird has just over 41,000 miles.

I think I walked the door for just under $1,000 which inclued an alignment .

The bottom line is be prepare to pay some green

            Diamondback Redlines.

I now have about 1000 miles on my Diamondback Redlines and I'm very happy with them. They seem to "stick" much better than the OEM tires and the ride, although a little firmer than the originals, is very good.
I have had nothing but positive comments on the looks. To me the redline seems to be "at home" on the bird.
The cost for 4 tires, $1076, $68 for shipping and with a very nice price break for my newly assigned Ford Dealer, $51.50 for mounting and "Force Balancing". Total... $1195.50

              Re: retired my bird

I like the red lines and might be my choice when the time comes on my Merlot. Also like the rims (Nascar) that Tire Rack is selling. The rims are pre marked with the logo so if some one jacks the Bird up they might have a harder time getting rid of them.

                Ken,
                Very nice! Great photo too.

How do you think the red would look on my Medium Steel Blue?

In my mind, red stripe on a medium steel blue car would look totally odd. Now, a white stripe would go just fine.

I think those red walls look great on your car but can't think of another color combo that would look as well with them, OK maybe black with the full red accent.

Mike, The redline is not quite as bold as it appears in the individual tire photo. It would probably look OK, but white might be a better choice on blue. I remember redlines on all colors of GTO's, and other muscle cars and they looked great.

Looks great on a White Tbird.

Our used 'Bird came with Goodyear Response edge 235 50R 17. Not enough miles on them to know how they perform, but reviews are quite positive, you can get a 50k mile warranty on them. I have no perspective on how they work on the car--we've only put 150 straight line miles on it in the past three weeks.
