It's all good. 13 mile and Woodward is considered the "epi center". I like the area north near 15 mile and where Old Woodward splits off from the main thorofare. Woodward is a big street with narrow sidewalk, not much grass, and folks have alread started staking out territory. Parking is a problem. Plan to walk (jostle) some after you park to find a spot for your lawn chair and cooler.
The town of Ferndale hosts the Mustang Alley and Ford activities. Location 9 mile and Woodward. The total cruise is 16 miles long from 8 mile to Pontiac and has key spots at each town. Enjoy.

If The Cruise Downriver was just a warm up to the Woodward it must be massive! I was pretty overwhelmed by the Fort Street Cruise at the end of June. It was cool to be there with a cool ride, Brian's '36 Chevy Hot Rod!
Cal, Woodward is massive but, it will be interesting to see the changes this year with the reduction of corporate sponsors. The cruisn has been going on all week traveling down Woodward thru Ferndale, Pleasant Ridge, Huntington Woods, Berkley, Royal Oak, Birmingham, Bloomfield Hills, Bloomfield Twsp, and Pontiac. Nice sunny beautiful Michigan weather is expected and will bring out more cars. In this mornings Free Press, there was a huge picture of a retro bird with the headline "Will this be a classic?" They stated "2002-05 Ford Thunderbird: It was unloved in its day, but it'll age well. The T-bird is a good car for people who want a pretty, comfortable cruiser." I'm sure there will be plenty of these future "classics" on the road this weekend.

There will be over 55 at Choo-Choo Thunder in October. I know I'll be there!

With out a doubt, the best car show/cruise Ive attended. Four solid blocks of Mustangs 65 to present. Saw one Retro-Bird & a black 57 that was immaculate. Well worth your time if within driving distance. Planning my trip for 2010 already.
John, Glad you enoyed yourself, it's hard not to. The area you mentioned is called Mustang Alley and, this year our local club MOSEM (Mustang owners of SouthEastern MIchigan) had special parking there. See you in 2010!
