    Many Thanks

    Many thanks to all involved in Thunderbirdnest ! As one of the new guys, I have been slowly exploring the website. I found the discussion on the PCM upgrades. As a part time employee of The Beaman Automotive Group here in Nashville Tn.,I took my 2003 Bird to the Lincoln store and had the computer upgrade . WOW . What I thought was a awsome car , with a few quirks, is now SUPER . Gone is the downshift clunk ,the odd up and down shifting at low speeds, and slow throttle responce . Car is smooooooth . Now if I can just figure out the light swich with reguards to the "supplemental parking lamps", all will be well . Thanks again !

    Welcome aboard! This place is a wealth of information and lots of knowledgeable folks willing to help with any problem. Love your color choice, you clearly have excellent taste.

                  Thats what I thought. My switch has a pull-out that does nothing, and I just wondered.Thank you.

                    pull out switch is a dummy, left over from being a part also used on the LS and probably some other LIncolns or Fords - where that part of the switch is functional.

                        Thank you, thats what I thought . I had a 2001 LS 5 speed , and the swich was the same but worked the driving lamps .

                          That is the same switch that is in my 97 F-150 and on the truck it DOES work the driving lights, the same as on my 05 500.

                            Yes the switch is there but it is not connected to anything.

                            I would like it to work to turn on and of the "fog Lights" in the bumper. All that remains it to figure out how to do it!

                            It is in my "project list" right behind all of the other things to do!???
