  • GRADUATION GIFT

Hey everyone- Grandpa aka Johnny TBird has given me his tbird as a graduation present this weekend as I graduated from Texas A&M University. I have decided that he should keep it until he cannot drive anymore except for special events. He wanted to introduce me to the group so Howdy and I look forward to future TBN events and meeting everyone!

    Happy Trails to You...

Congratulations Elizabeth and welcome to TBN. It's always nice to have another Texan and especially another San Antonioan join.

        Elizabeth,

Congratulations on your achievement. Those of us who've met your granddad have known of his plans for over a year. Your decision sounds mature beyond your years, and I admire you for it.

Best wishes as you enter this next phase of your life.

Hello Elizabeth. Congratulations upon your graduation. Your Grandpa has talked for several years that you were going to be the recipient of his Cashmere when you graduated. How did he take the news that you would let him keep the car til he was no longer able to fully enjoy the car? That might be long enough that you'll have more time to enjoy it yourself by then.

                      Re: GRADUATION GIFT

I think that Grandpa really would prefer to keep his car despite always wanting to give it to me. He has too many good years left that he should enjoy it. We have always gone back and forth on when/if I would take the car and right now I don't have a garage to park it in as I live in an apartment complex without garages and so that car just cannot possibly be mine right now and he loves it so I rather him continue to enjoy it.

For some of the other questions... I graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Human Resources and started a new job today with Lowe's home improvement as a Human Resource Manager in training for 8 weeks. I also am starting grad school in another week to get a MBA. I think it would be great for me and grandpa to go together on one of his trips/events! What do you think grandpa?? Anyways until next time.

                      Happy Trails to you...

I can tell why he wants you to have the car eventually, Elizabeth. It will please him no end when you decide it's time for you to take care of her. (and I bet he had tears in his eyes when you said he could take care of her for a few years longer)

Congrads...Elizabeth! I actually like to buy stuff in Lowes however, I have a hard time fitting all the stuff my wife buys there into CVCashmere!!

Nice to see a young face driving this color... I was getting worried it was a color just for "old" folks (ahem... cough, cough).

Hey - I drive this color, and I'm only 30. If anyone says that's old...

Incidentally, I also got mine as a graduation present. My parents ordered it for my law school graduation, but I didn't graduate until '06 so I got it a year early. LOVE this color!!
