correct, I saw these images, and wondered what it would take to make it happen. As I can't see by the images the way the roll hoops are installed, there is no way to tell if they are just decoration, or if they are functional... or if the convertible soft top was removed and covered over with the hard cover. Far as I know, the hoops are taped in place.
The other thing to keep in mind, is yes, there is a lot of space behind the bulkhead (behind the seats and plastic interior piece), but it would take a professional to determine placement of the mounts, and if it interfered with the hard top movement and mechanisms. That's why I took it to a very reputable shop. Can it be done, sure. Can it be done cleanly and maintain the value of the car? Hardly.
But hey, I'm waiting for someone to prove me wrong on this (not just hypothetically, with no skin in the game), so I can have their system installed.
