I must agree with the others Black is the best color for a RetroBird and the fastest. (I am not prejudice, much!)

Come out to Chattanooga and join the fun! T-birds were made to drive and we are travelling almost 700 miles one way to get to this event.

William - Welcome - I know everyone has their fav color, but the main thing is that you now have a Retro T-Bird! You will really enjoy it the more you drive it. Everyone looks and makes positive comments, and truly improves your outlook

billm, Welcome to the nest. Black was my first choice when I started my search for a Bird. My o4 had 7k miles on it when I found it and was still under the original 3 year Ford warranty. I now have 16K on it and have extended the warranty till 2011 or 48K miles. So far I've not had any problems at all. The only time I take the car in is for an oil change and tire rotation. Living in Northern Indiana, I don't drive the car during the Winter months. Usually put it away after Thanksgiving and don't take it out again till April or May. It's a great car and you'll find that alot of people will complement you on it. You were lucky to find one with such low mileage, It must have been very well taken care of and I'm sure you will too. Welcome Maybe Black Birds are faster, which is fine, I'll wave as i drive by when your pulled over getting a gift from your local cop.
Most of all drive it be safe and enjoy.
