  • A new bird in the nest!

Well it finally happened. I got a merlot with sand interior. Drove it to work today, and bought my first air freshener for it. My wife is laughing at me!
The guys at work love it! And from what I read on this forum the Merlot tbirds are the prettiest and the fastest!!
    Thanks for all the input.

Oh, Tim. You are sadly misinformed about the speed! But, congratulations. Our retro-birds are real head-turners and conversation starters. I drove mine up to the Dodge dealer today to get the tags for the Durango and it took 10 minutes to get away from the used car salesman.

Well, Tim. Have you given her a ridein it yet? better still though is to get her behind the steering wheel. If she doesn't like her hair mussed up, show her how quick the top goes up -- and that she can easily do it from the driver's seat.

Congrats Tim. And you got it right - MERLOT is the prettiest and fastest.

One thing I do love about the Merlot is how you get different colors depending on the sunshine - it makes you just watch to see what it will look like each day.

          Happy Tbird trails to you

            Tim,
You obviously did your homework. It's widely known and accepted that Merlot is the prettiest and the fastest!! Just as Julie Borla Babe knows. She experienced the wrath of a Merlot on a strip infront of NASA in New Orleans. Borlas were of no help. Of course she blames everything on "COPS", and GORES (or any other far-out excuse). Welcome to TBN.

Re: A new bird in the nest!

When I was searching for my Bird, Merlot was high on my list of colors. After looking at a few of them I still liked the color and the Sand colored seats, but the Sand colored rag top was a problem for me. Everyone I looked at had stains on it and the dealers said they couldn't get them off. So I ended up with a EB 04 with a Black rag top. Still think Merlot is a beautifull color though. Leroy

Congrats! Classic color combo you purchased. Not the fastest, but one of the prettiest.

Tim ,welcome to the nest.A good color choice ,I have many people admire the Bird when the sun is shining on it and it will change colors. As for the soft top do a search and you will find info on cleaning.Mine gets a cleaning every month as it's outside and with rain season in S.Fl. it makes no difference if I have a cover on it or not.It gets stains
