If road is quiet enough I might give it a try. Been a while since I did that.
It's a 4 hour trip, so enough chances to give it a go and clean the exhaust real good
Sometimes Birds travel far... Dutch T-Bird tbirdregistry.com No. 27947
Be sure to send a detailed report. See if you can 'impress' some of those Beemers from Bavaria.
No chance in that. Even the Diesel engines go faster these days. Besides that the Beamers outperform the Bird by handling. Don't want to end up in some roof. I will just go against myself and see if I can take it to the limiter.

I agree...my wife's 330i would run circles around the Bird...happy motoring, Frits!
I lived for two years just north of Bremen in Osterholtz-Sharmbeck (1988-1990). Used to take the family on the local train to Bremen. Be sure and visit the statue of the Bremen Town Musicians if you are downtown - it is beside the Rathouse.

Hey Paul, The Rathouse is in Disneyworld. Don't you mean the Rathaus?

Yeah, but the A-Bahn is mostly straight. At least the run I saw north of Munich. Besides, BMWs are very common...not so with Thunderbird. They'll let off the gas just to get a good look!
Just was a quick trip and a dinner meeting last night. Left very early this morning to get back in the office before noon.
Sorry Kim, the only pics I took are from the meter in the dash.
It was too busy on the Autobahn to get full speed.
First pic I took yesterday with top down at 210Km p/h (130Mph)
Today I drove with top up and could get to 220Km p/h (140Mph)
Sorry the last pic is blurred and dark. But top was up and it's quite scary to drive that speed and take pictures with a Cell phone at the same time. Like to have both hands on the wheel while driving that fast.
