I have a friend with an 02 and the airbag light will not go out. The dealer says it can probably be fixed with the clock spring assembly replacement which is pricey. Anbody have any ideas he can try before going with the almost $300 repair?

Re: clock spring assembly-air bag light
I had the same problem. It turned out to be the connector under the driver's seat. We cleaned it and re-set the connectors. All has been fine since.Unbelivable TBN trips including ALL of the lower 48 States plus 9 Canadian Provinces, 8 European Countries, 3 Caribbean Countries, Countless National Parks and have attended well over 100 TBN Events since 2001 and counting. Best of all ... fabulous friends.

Re: clock spring assembly-air bag light
I would try cleaning the connector contacts under the drivers seat first. If that's not it then bite the bullet and get it fixed. I should be covered under a ESP warranty but you'll still have to pay the deductable. Something you hope you never need, but it could save a life. Leroy
