Re: SPEEDBIRD PICTORIAL
Love the 5 spoke wheels......never have liked the stock 7 spokes.
Like the hood scoop and grill treatment.
A lot of the rest is too far over the top although the seats look really comfy and provide better lateral support I'm sure.
No mention of power train changes or suspension upgrades.
The car is already a pretty stylish cruiser these changes suggest a desire to get more "GO" into the car. Is there more to this story we aren't seeing here?
Please tell me they didn't do all this "racy" cosmetic stuff and leave the relatively weak engine/transmission combo in place.

Re: SPEEDBIRD PICTORIAL
John
Thanks for posting the speedbird pictorial. I love it. Against all, I would do something similar to a bird if I had lots of extra $$. I would want it supercharged and in the 2003-2005 time frame. Could just see a candyapple red metallic with Foose strips and special wheels. WOW I MUST BE DREAMING. What was that speedbird sold for or cost to build???
Where is it now?
Thanks
Dennis

Fortunately for me, I needed some new windshield trim and was able to purchase the one that was originally on that car by bidding on it on e-bay. It was far cheaper than buying it from the dealer.
It has been sitting in the box in my garage for years waiting to be installed........perhaps this week now that I appear to be retired (again).

Re: SPEEDBIRD PICTORIAL
Speedbird was built at Ford's request by Foose - I think something like he was given 6 weeks in order to have it finished for SEMA in 2002. Other auto designers were also given the same criteria as a contest sponsored by Ford. Foose made a video documentary of the process which he sold at one time. I've got a copy and it's worth viewing. You can still see the bird on some of his older shows. I think he still owns it? oh, and he also won the contest.
Thanks for finding that page, John. I've never seen it before.Limited Edition databases for 007 msg..#26 , PCR sticky, and Cashmere msg.#64
