Does any one know if the weatherstriping on the bottom of the hardtop is rubber, vinyl or something else. Also, what's the best product to apply so it stays soft?
It's a hollow rubber tubing about 3/8 of an inch O.D. and is real wimpy. I cut all of mine off with a razor knife and bought some solid 1/2" O.D. styro-foam striping at Ace hardware and used rubber cement to glue it on in place of what I cut off. I use masking tape to protect the deck paint and it seals real well and by being slightly bigger the top fits alot tighter with no rattles on rough raods or RR tracks. Leroy
