I have to agree the 02 engine is fugly to say the least.

Now here is one man's solution to his 02's fugly engine which looks pretty outstanding at least to me. Others may disagree.

I agree that removing the plastic cover would result in an engine that runs cooler, but do you really want that? The computer is programmed to operate an engine that's running within a particular temp range.

Later I tried it with a TBird Blue engine cover..... used "Reflect-A-Cool" on the underside as I was concerned with the heat transfer.... everything is running well.

Hi all! The 2003-2005 engines look awesome with their vanity covers removed, in my opinion. While I'm not much one for modifications from oem; just for the sport of it, was wondering if anyone knows whether there is a Jaguar intake cover that would be interchangeable with the 2005 T-Bird engine. Got this idea after having seen the following pic (in the link below) somewhere via the internet, and I do not know any info on it, and for that matter where I found it, or precisely what jaguar engine is depicted. But don't you think something like this would make for some interesting conversation? Of course you could always swap the original cover back on, if this were at all do-able in the first place.

If you would crome the intake manifold and coil covers it would look really good.
