that sounds like a real good deal to me..they are not selling around here[spokane wa] for anything close to that price.....EX: 2002 40kmi at a local lithia dealer..started at 22900 is now down to 16900...and still no buyers....you should have no problem finding a low milage bird...for that kinda money...good luck

$27,225 plus...is GREAT! She's a gonner, but you can get another and pocket a big chunk, maybe add some nice upgrades like a Borla exhaust or spoked wheels. Whatever you like.

Side (True) story: Last summer I was filling my TBird. A car was pulling into the station at a high rate of speed and headed for the pump right behind my car. I quickly moved to the back on my TBird, 6" off the bumper, and looked the driver right in the eye. My wife yelled, "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?"

I said, "He can break my legs before I let him HIT MY CAR!"

I'm happy you were treated fair, and I'm happy you are happy. Now comes the tough part, finding one as good or better. Doesn't matter how good it is, it will never be the same as the original. Good luck in your search. I wish you the best. Thank you for sharing the outcome with all of us.

Paul! Congratulations! I think you got a great price for our area. (BTW - I had not realized you were local to me).

So? What color bird are you looking for? The same as you had -- or something else? There is a dealer in East Northport that is offering the 2004 Light Blue Metallic (I think) that had low miles, hardtop and appeared to be in excellent condition. I will try to find the link -- but that was 2 or so weeks ago now.

You came out good. But remember, it could have been, and if they get a good lawyer, there will be no light and no street, witnesses are prejudges. Just you and some poor person that someone has taken advantage of.

I agree. In August of '06 I bought my '05 with 10,000 miles on it (sans Hardop) for $29,495. and I thought it was a good price. So 3 years and 3 months later that is hardly any depreciation at all. Congratulations, they almost made you whole.
