Kathleen-- Most metal finish kits match the metal dash finish on the 02 Tbird only. The 03 thru 05 car metal finish have different designs in them and do not match the kits which are all plain like the 02. THe only kit that will match the 03 thru 05 is at Powersport as he has the orginal material from our cars, however his price is much more about $400. Bunny Lou

I always liked the look of the wood trim dash packages, something Ford should have included, but I was a bit worried about "clashing" with the 2003 Saddle interior.

Never made the move, and probably never will.

I have a merlot with sand interior and I went back and forth between the Birds eye maple for sand and the dark burl wood for the dark merlot and the black dash. I decided to go with the dark because the amount of light material inside is really not that much. There is a lot of black. I thought the light wood look would clash with all the black inside the car. My Lexus has cream interior and cream dash and carpet. It has birds eye maple and looks appropriate and good. Given the merlot/sand/black I think I made the right choice. If I had cashmere or a PCH, Maple would definitely be the one.

I like the look of the dash kits but I just can't bring myself to covering up the original as long as it looks new and unscratched.

Added note about the dash burl on the radio. I had to get my radio, CD sent back for repair from the Ford garage under warranty. It has burl on it and I requested that it be repaired, not replaced. In 10 days it was sent back, same unit and put back in. So if you have burl on your dash radio, make sure you ask for a repair not a replacement unit.

I have a 2002 without the heated seat extra. some of these kits (thunderbird concepts ) have knockouts for the heater switches and plugs to put in if you don't have the switches .. The plugs look like ...^%&%$ correct? ...

I'll try to do the pictures. sorry about the quality. Didn't realize the lens was dirty. Old 2 meg pixel camera. Any way it'll give you an Idea.
