        Mark!

This is the stuff made for a road trip next summer!

How about the most famous diner in North America?

        http://www.rosiesdiner.com/

This is the place we un-officially launched on our Route 66 trip in August 2002 and the first time I ever saw a RetroBird in the flesh (so to speak) and knew I had to have one.

We took our 64 Thunderbird since we didn't own a Retro at that point in time and from the attached pic you will see that there were 5 RetroBirds (another yellow showed up late) and so the long trip to L.A. began. We had a great trip with loads of fun adventures and with lots of Thunderbirds enroute on Route 66 as some people joined in for short distances while a number of us went all the way to California. We met with many more old Thunderbirds in Chicago for the trip!

This is something we plan to do again someday only with our RetroBird. So, "if you ever decide to motor west take the highway and the biway that's the best, get your kicks on Route 66!"

Ah, now I know I have your car in some of my photos:
We were on that trip in our 02blue thru OK and TX.

and to keep thread on track.
The search was on to find this bear as I picked him up when we bought our Inca (or maybe even before then since he's cute) I haven't been able to find him since we moved out here but started inventorying boxes and found him again. He participated in the Yellow Rose show in the Inca back in 2005 but apparently I didn't get a photo of him at the show. so here it is now:

ps - Forgot to mention that he's the Official Ford Thunderbird 50th Anniversary Teddy Bear and has the anniversary logo on the back of his jacket. Just saw some for sale on ebay yesterday.

              Well Mark,

When ever your ready to visit upstate Michigan say the word and we can cross the border at Port Huron and it is a couple more hours drive beyond that but it could be fun to get the whole CDN-TBN and do a little KRUSIN to Rosie's Diner. I am sure Ted and Mitzi from the Sault would be up for this as it wouldn't be all that far for them to meet us there.

You saw SnowBird's (Martin B) mascot well I have a "ThunderChicken" too but his name is Henry (Ford) and he was one of the mascots for the Ford Canada 100th Anniversary as was "Bling Bear" who likewise was a Ford Canada official bear.

              Gord

              P.S. AND THE MODS CONTINUE!

Gord: Thunderchicken came on the scene for the 50th anniversary of the Thunderbird. Check out his bandana. The 100th bears were left over from '04, Ford Canada's 100th celebration.

                      Ted,

I posted a new thread under the Canadian Chapter looking for feedback such as other sites like Frankmouth or even Saulte Ste. Marie, Ontario.
