    Re: New Mod Opportunity

If you take a deer whistle off and turn it around 180 degrees and put it back on, will it call the deer now? LOL

Holy venison, Batman! If you wanted to mount some antlers for Christmas, there is an easier way to do it!

Glad you guys fared better than the deer!

Whew! Close call. Glad that you both are okay. The Bird can be repaired. But can you imagine trying to "fix" Claire??

At least you were back in home territory and not miles and miles away in strange places stranded.

If you had any part in arranging this to get attention after your long trip away, you succeeded in spades - shame on you!! Next time you go cruising, just send us a brief post telling us that you are fine.

You have lots to be thankful for on Thursday. We all do!!

Well folks the Insurance adjuster just left. I did not want to even open the hood, till they saw it. Facia is toast, naturally. Under the hood, brace for headlight mount is toast also. Figured as much as it does aim downward now. Also the brace that the foam filling is attached to is not straight. He said, my shop of choice would most likely find more. I am going to it done at our FORD Dealer that sponser's our Mustang Club. I'll have them bring it back to original (except maybe the Grille :-) ) It's going in Monday.

Oh, one other thing. It's covered under my Comprehensive, not Collision (So NO deductible), oh, okay make it two things, There was more deer hair inside than outside.

Anyone want some fresh Venicen ..........

Hey Ol'Dave, sorry to hear about your run in with the deer. Tis' the season! Hope you find a way to restore T-Bird even better than it was. Up here in Wisconsin's deer country--one evenming just two weekends ago, the wife and I met a deer running along side our Torch Red 2005, on a side walk. Happened in the outskirts of the city...well, I knew that this buck was going to cross sooner or latter to take cover in the trees, so I just slowed down to pace myself a bit slower than the deer was prancing, to avert the collision, we were lucky--the four or so pointer could've inflicted some unwanted havoc.

              Glad you're Ok.

Yes, deer can be quite a threat; I hit a deer in 2005. I was riding my Harley Davidson Roadking at the time. I was airlifted to University Of Mississippi hospital where I stayed 5 weeks and than moved to Methodist Rehab where I spent the next 4 weeks. I had 12 broke ribs, broken left arm, broken back, neck and a crushed right leg. Other than that, I felt fine.

                  Dave,
Sorry to hear of the accident. At least you both were not injured. Hope you will be back in the saddle soon.

                    Sorry to here that Tom,

I visited in the past, lots of friends at the hospital from motorcycle accidents.

Sounds like you got a couple of pins as well...
