    Steve,

I like the color of Mark's car better than yours and Martin #2's.

When I said that in my comment about color, I just knew you would have something to say, Gord.

Thought you would say something about Black though...

You are officially the second to give me an insuling comment now...lol

I always thought that the retrobirds were the offspring of an old crotchety 56 Thunderbird and an 2001 XK Jaguar, I don't know why there are no Retrobirds in British Racing Green. One of you with a tan interior and soft top should paint yours... just a thought.

Well, I'm only 30, and I love the things!
You should hear some of the comments I hear ( usually from my riding buddies ) when I'm on my 650 Suzuki Burgman motor scooter. I'm 6'2", 225 lbs and 70 and I get no respect. So, I just roll on the throttle and leave 'em at the light.

Uhhhhhh Steve! I hate to break it to you buddy but...........

They are all the same color! (It's called Thunderbird Blue BTW and was my second choice.)

No insult there, just tweaking your Treken nose!

                  Re: Insulting comments

Most drivers in Springfield, IL seem to regard cars as only a means of getting from here to there and for running into each other every day in the five o'clock traffic. (Must be some of the worst drivers in the world... they even run into each other while driving around a previous accident!) But most of the comments we've gotten when driving our retrobird come from pre-teens and younger. They just love the car, even though I doubt most of them don't know what it is!

No offence Don, and I drove and owned dozens of bikes, lots of Harley's, British(Triumph,Norton) and even rice bikes(Yamahas) but always thought Suzuki sounded like a sewing machine...

My opinion, get a different ride while you have friends to drive with...

Just my opinion and I'm sorry again...

I haven't gotten these curios comments by people that it looks like a chick car, just a lot of thumbs-up. I never thought it was a muscle car going into this relationship. I chose the Tbird for other reasons, mainly; trunk space, convertible, V8; lots of niceties, and yeah..chicks do dig it.

Just enjoy the car for what it offers, which is plenty more than many other cars.

I don't have to say much when I hear someone say they just don't like the new style Thunderbird while they're admiring our 57. That happens most often when I'm with our 57 at a car show. I then let them know we have two of the new ones. They tend to shut up real quick while they have to think about the meaning of what I just told them.

500 comments of "Sweet Ride" for every 1 "Thunderchicken". 99% of negative comments are from the GM, MOPAR crowd. It's their opinions and we all know about opinions everyone has one and they usually stink. IMHO!

Didn't buy either Bird for someone else's appreciation. A comment are just that...a comment. I don't care what anyone else thinks...what matters at the end of the day is that I like it, it's paid for and I'm the driver!
