Any Car Shows coming up in Dallas Texas?

I have not been to a car show here in Dallas for a couple of months. I need a "car show" fix. I am planning to go to the Detriot Auto Show in January, but I do not find a car show in Dallas before March of next year. Anyone know of any local events or shows? I am dying here!!!!

Car shows don't just happen, someone has to organize them. Why not start a weekly 'coffee' get together. A breakfast and cruize, a cruize and brunch, etc. etc. Sure someone will join in the fun. You certainly have the weather for it down there. Too far for me to come though.

Charles, It sounds like you're looking for a "new car" show. Dallas has theirs in March and I'm not quite sure when Ft worth has theirs but I think it's a few weeks ahead of the Dallas show - in February.
As for owner car shows - Autorama comes up in mid February in Dallas. I can't think of any right off hand that are in January. At the end of February or Early March, there is a Hot Rod Show in Fort Worth. I can find dates for all of those if you want them.

What part of Dallas are you located? Maybe we can get together for a cup some time. I am in Plano, know we have a couple of others up this way.

We have one here in Plano the first Saturday of the month April thru Nov I believe at one of the Sonics. Dominated by Vettes, but we have had a couple of retros in the past, one actually won the 2000 class last year. Typically 50 to 75 cars

Autorama (rod, classics & customs) - February 19-21 at Dallas' Market Center Hall
Fort Worth Rod and Custom Show - March 5-7 at Amon Carter Center

Auto Show Dallas - March 3-7 - new cars
Auto Show Fort Worth - March 11-14 at Ft. Worth Convention Center - new cars

All that I know happens between now and Christmas are toy drives
January seems to be pretty free of any car shows.

Most cruise-ins don't start until the end of March when the weather has warmed up some.

Like Martin suggested, maybe a morning coffee get together then a cruise.
I understand that the Tulsa Classic Tbird club does the coffee then cruise bit every Saturday.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I hope we can put something together soon. I am traveling almost every week until Christmas for work and then will be on a motor home trip starting Christmas Day. Kind of an annual tradition and a great relaxing way to end the year.

By the way, I ordered my wire wheels and I am awaiting thier arrival.

Classic BMW at the northeast corner of Spring Creek Parkway and The Dallas North Tollway in Plano has something I think they call Cars and Coffee the last Saturday of every month year round from 6:30AM until Noon. There are no entry fees, no admission, no classes, no trophies, no contests, or etc.; just cars and the coffee is provided by Classic BMW. They (Classic BMW) will accept donations for charities however.

Every thing turns out for this show from the super expensive hoity-toity cars to tuners. I personally have not participated in this show as yet but on a couple of occasions I have seen cars leaving the show around noon and it has basically been a jaw dropper for me. I mean very rare and old exotics to original VW bugs with muscle and pony cars in between.

Yes, Cars and Coffee is a group of car owners that support charities. They have coffee times in a number of cities in several states now and draw quite a crowd of cars.

Haven't been available on the Saturdays that the BMW dealership hosts the event so we haven't gone yet.

I am thinking of moving to Texas for the winter months. Already have the winter blues and you guys are talking about cruising. It's just not right.

That is more snow than we have had this year to-date. Nothing yet. Maybe I will consider Mexico again. Saw a 2002 Black bird there a few years back at the Fiesta Americana, Porta Valarta. I'll move in with Martin L.

At my place the sun was out by a little after noon and that white stuff was gone. In my 50 something years I think we had had some snow in Dec about 30 times but alas, not on the 25th. Very close a few times but not on the 25th that at least I can remember.
