You guys in the south must measure 2 feet different than we do in Canada. Two feet is 24 inches here, and yes you do have to get up on the roof in major storms if you got really good insulation... Otherwise the heat from your roof melts the snow...lol...
Well I just found out that the new house must have very good insulation. Looked up above the Christmas tree this morning and there is a 15inch long patch of wet in the ceiling drywall. So I am now digging out my Home warranty to see if this is covered.

We had 14.5" of snow and 3 foot to 4 foot drift and then it dropped to 9 degrees blow zero. This morning there was frizzling rain, but the temp has went up to 33 degrees now and melting the ice

Not much of a blizzard, but it's the most snow we've had in 5 years. Dec. 05, 2009

....almost coincides with our little storm here on the lone prairie...more snow than I have seen in years....It was a time for neighbours to come together with snow shovels and dig our way out and through the drifts...I we hadn't, we would be still waiting for the city crews to get organized!.... minus 30C here....shouldn't whine though...Edmonton hit a record of minus 47C before wind chill....only place colder on the planet was Siberia, apparently!......As usual, the 'Bird is performing without fault....Because it is garaged, I haven't needed to use the block heater....

Our daughter is in Calgary and said that it is some cold there. She hates to shovel the sidewalk and is clad that most people don't have driveways. So in about three days we will be getting all the cold weather, but then it will stop snowing.

                        Hi there Ted,

Still snowing eh? Remember that discussion we had at Choo Choo about the snow in the Sault years back where the snow was touching the telephone lines?

                        Maybe this is the year?

I was out picking oranges off the trees here in the Toronto area, may have to cut the grass again soon too.

You better warm up the snow blower.

Ok Gord, your being down right mean now. Only another four months and we get the bird out again. With any luck the snow will be gone by the time to head to Ottawa.

Not sure what it is like up there in mid-May since my employer was a real sadist and only sent me there in the dead of winter.

Of course if I was really bad they would call me into Winnipeg in January for a week of R & R. (Rant and Rave)

Hopefully, the snow will be history by then or you may at least get down to only 3 feet on the ground.
