I SURE WOULD NOT HAVE GONE THAT WAY. PEOPLE ARE HAPPY WHEN THEY SEE YOU IN THUNDERBIRD. WHEN THEY SEE YOU IN A MERCEDES, WELL, HAPPY IS NOT THEIR FIRST THOUGHT.

Eh... it happens. Sometimes, you just get one that doesn't work out well. I like the SLK, but foreign exotics scare the crap out of me.

Speaking of which, I just had the rear differential and front ball joints rebuilt on my 2003 Ford Sport Trac. We are talking real money! Love my truck though, and it's paid for. Only 65k on the odometer.

He joined in August 2009, so maybe he was not the original owner of the car. Maybe he bought someone's problem. After all a nester pointed out a car on ebay that was a wreck from them

It was just another car to him besides, all cars are a problem one time or another. Adios

                      Re: too many problems

I owned one Mercedes new. Spent most of its time in the shop. On the other hand, my 05 Cashmere has had no issues at all. My F 150 that I have owned for more than 15 years has never been in the shop other than preventative maintenance. Ford has one of the highest quality standards in the industry. Some people replace a battery and freak out. Who knows, he may be one of them. Hope he has plenty of time to spend at the shop with the Benz.

                        Nice exit by the way.

Just a thought - - - I kinda like to equate Cars with Life. I picked up a Cadillac about 30 years ago. Right now he's more of an Aveo, with a trunk load of problems. I wonder if I can trade up to a Mercedes or, really pushing it, a Bentley. Then again, what would a Bentley be doing with a Hyundai Accent? Never mind.

Well, you have to maintain everything. I can't think of anything that I would trade mine for. It's great and the most fun we've had with any vehicle. The people here have welcomed us with open arms like no others. Sometime it's more than the equipment, it's the people. Everyone enjoy the holiday season and before you know it we will be back on the road (if it ever stops snowing). Hope to see everyone again soon.

Most come in here because of the car.

Even if I would trade my Bird for any other brand I would still be here.
