Hello: I was wondering does anyone know of a company that sells a "noise insulation" kit for the retro bird? The rear end noise bothers me a little and I noticed I could probably eliminate a lot by putting some insalation under the existing fitted cardboard liner in the trunk area? Most sights I have been finding only cater to older vintages. Thanks drainray@att.net

Yep. It's called Dynomat. Works great for all noise insulation. Cut to size, peal & stick. Use it all the time in my project cars. Do a search here for it, one member did a nice writeup pictorial on how he did it. Basically you do it under the convertible boot bin, and inside the front of the trunk.
Now of course there is a better solution: Buy BORLA's!!!!Last edited by Ol'Dave; Dec 21, 2009, 10:02 AM.DaveR (as seen on survelance TV)

I think that I was that member that Dave was talking about.
Look at the pictures in my gallery and search my name for the writeup.
Basically, I put the sticky insulating material and foam on top of that from just behind the seats to the rear in the trunk. It was quite a deal and I don't know that there was all that much diminution in the noise.
This year I am going to do the front part of the passenger compartment and see if it helps. Can't hurt and will be easier than working under the half opened soft top!
Good Luck
