Yes they are a very nice addition and easy to install.
Some people spend their money on cigarettes, some on drink or on other persuits which is ok, but the little things you add to your RetroBird are still there long after the other things have been used and the pleasure goes on everytime you see and drive you car.
Price is subjective, if you want it and like the look then go for it!
Kathleen, I had the MN windows put in my black top, figured since they had to take it apart they might as well put the NM windows in it. They ain’t cheap. Decals look great.
The only mod I have done on the T-bird is the Jeff Poole porthole emblems. They add a subtle elegance, in my opinion. I have been asked if they are etched, but I haven't had many comments because I am sure most people don't know they are an addition. They fit the look of the car so well they probably think they are original.
They were not hard to put on, his instructions are very good. But I think it is definitely a two person job. You need someone directing you from the outside because you want to be very sure to get them on straight and centered!
Thunderbird portholes were not etched. Mid to late Lincoln Mk III and later had the Lincoln Logo etched into the optional rear opera windows. I do not know if similar option was available on that generation of Thunderbird. The opera windows were rectangular and vertical. They were produced in Dearborn's Rouge complex, at the "glass plant" which differs from Ford World HQ, known as the "Glass House" which is further differentiated from the University of Michigan football stadium, with largest seating capacity in college, known as "the Big House"
RustyFrye,

Here is an idea for you TBNers that want to put something in the portholes on the hardtop.
Buy the 4 1/2" chrome metal wings from TBN. Cut off the three tabs on the back and put 3M two sided tape on the entire back then cut it with sccissors to the shape of the wings. Place the wings one on each porthole in the center. I have had a set on my hardtop now for 2 years and they look very attractive and I get a lot of compliments.
Also have used these wings on the dash, over the glove box, and on the door panels
on various other TBirds. These wings are top quality and look like they should have been part of the car wherever you decide to put them. I am sure our good friend Spence would be delighted to sell them to you and you will be also helping the TBN site.

Hi everyone, Sorry it's taken me so long to chime in. I have responded to everyone that's emailed me. I do still have my 2002 Thunderbird but I only have driven it about 2,500 miles (too many cars). I still love the porthole emblems and I still sell them mostly on Ebay when I feel I have time to list them.
Birdfan is right most people will not notice them at first glance even your local Ford dealer don't notice them at first. But when they do you always smile because they do look like an item that would have came on the car. It's subtle and elegant not flashy, it matches what the car is all about and it says something about how you should feel when your driving it. It's a detail they felt strongly about on the portholes of the Neiman Marcus car, I loved the look then as I do now.
Sorry about the shipping charge of $4.80 but it the actual cost of shipping USPS Priority Mail which is the only way I ship. I learned the hard way shipping items first class, some people are just not honest so I changed my method and it cost everyone a little more, such is life these days.
If you live anywhere near Columbus, Ohio and want me to help install them, I more than willing (no charge). If anyone has a problem during installation I always send out a replacement at no charge until you get it right.
Thanks for your comments Jeff. BTW, Jeff has been a member of TBN since July 2002, at the beginning of this web site. No member has ever had a problem with him or the items that he sells. Please disregard and ignore the one member who posts nothing but negative comments about add ons.
Jeff, nice to see you post! It has been a long time since we've heard from you. Hope we'll see you again at an event one of these days.
Not only are Jeff's products very nice, he has been quite generous to TBN members by offering a discount, donating door prizes to more than one event that I know of and donating items to raise money for our SGK charity efforts with HEARTLAND THUNDER.
