Charley called to say he was next to an EB out at Hilltop this afternoon...knew it wasn't '05, and tried to ask the guy what year, but the roar of the brightly colored blue and gold low-flying jets overhead drowned out the answer.
Yes, the BLUE ANGELS are in town doing their practice dives before this weekend's air show! I may go out that way tomorrow and get a little video of them in their practice runs - gotta play Van Halen in the background though...http://video.yahoo.com/watch/200325/760975

Charley just spoke with a fairly new owner of a VMG while he was gassing up at Costco. The guy gave Charley his card and asked to be emailed about TBN - he wasn't aware of it. He bought his Bird about 6 mos ago, so maybe a new member here soon!

Skip sent this to me yesterday to cheer me up. It is time to share if you haven't seen it yet. I see so few Tbirds on the road, at least I saw this one. Thanks Skip.

(edit) BTW, I edited the picture taking out the school district name and made it my office computer wallpaper.

Re: my previous post...here is Vincent and his VMG. He has contacted me, and will check in to TBN! He's with the Coast Guard, so doesn't have a whole lot of time for events, etc, but loves is "new" Bird and appreciated the TBN invite.

Spotted a either a 62 or 63 on my way home from a photoshoot on H1 going north last sunday. I hurried and got out my camera for a few quick shots.

Saw a red 02 pull into the parking lot at my new job. I was getting out of my bird when he passed by....I waved and gave him the thumbs up...he waved and kept going. Looked for his car later after work, but he had gone.

On the way to our cabin to cut some firewood met a Cashmere top up (45 deg.) on the South Skagit Hwy.

Picked up my friend Glenn after a dental surgery yesterday, and an '04 Black Bird owner was in the turn lane in front of CARTOY. We exchanged waves, and I took Glenn on home. Went the the neighborhood WalMart for meds, juices, and ice cream, and met the owner. He's an older gentlman, is not on the internet, and hasn't had his Bird very long. I invited him to Chuck and Nancy's local event...guess I'll need to remind him by phone.

Redbirdsal: Did I see you in Lake Highlands area this week. I saw a red bird with a lady getting on Abrams.

I regularly see a Black bird at the LA Fitness on Skillman, and there is a Yellow bird within a block of my house. I can never catch him to say hi.

That is a '63 Landau. Looks to be in very nice condition.

Saw this '02 again today, so, did a 'u' turn and chased it down the road. It was the owners daughter and she gave me the particulars. Talked with the owner who purchased the car new in this area and baught the extra parts (skirts and connie) when wintering in Florida . Directed her to the TBN sight.

No, it wasn't me...but there is a lady who drives a Red Bird and lives in Lake Highlands. I talked with her a long time ago. She wasn't interested in joining TBN, or attending our outings, at that time.
