OK, am I losing it????

I've only been a Retro T-Bird owner since August and I am constantly learning things about my car. So far I haven't really had the need to put anything in the trunk - until this week. I opened it up last night to remove some items and NO LIGHT!
I spent the next hour in the garage (in my trunk) with a flashlight to find the "burned out bulb". I can't find a thing. I went through the owners manual from cover to cover and - nothing!
Are there NO trunk lights in our cars? Is it in a hard-to-find place?
It seems very odd to me that a car of this caliber would NOT have a simple light bulb in there!

Right rear corner if facing the trunk, just behind the tailight. See if the small plunger , next to the latch is not stuck in the down position.

A HA!
No wonder. I see the vertical hole in the panel. I popped off the panel and found a wire with a T shaped connector just dangling in there, but no socket or bulb. I'll check to see if I can find a replacement. Should there be any type of plastic cover or lens that fits in that opening to finish it off?

How about a battery powered, motion LED light? Something like

No it just made me hungry,
so I re-heated some leftover meatloaf
and made a hot meatloaf and gravy sandwich
before going to bed.
It took years to build up this body
and am not going to let any DOCTOR
tell me to diet or die!
