I finally gave up after numerous trips to the local WalMarts ... If they stocked them my timing was bad.

It is just plain luck. I have visited WalMart numerous times and have found only one set and one single. I keep checking, just for the sport of it. Singles are only 88 cents - -how can you go wrong?

Tom is correct about it being luck. It seems to be the luck of the draw which case gets sent to what Walmart from the distribution centers, or for that matter which case a distribution center has. There are at least two different cases variations of the singles. The first mix did not contain the Thunderbird models while the second one did. However there are only two Thunderbirds in that second case.

So you can be there as a case is opened and not find a Thunderbird or if you are really lucky you'll get a chance to purchase a couple.

That's how I got my two singles, a partial case was stacked on top of an unopened case, I almost didn't see the unopened case.

I'm still keeping track of the batch #s on the models themselves. so far the highest batch # is now 0944 but the card # has increased to #1002. The lowest batch # on a car that I've found is 0938

15044 - that is the sku # for the models.
On the back of the card, down in the lower right corner below the bar code is a "stamped" # - it's only 4 digits.

Now, as some have already found, there is a batch # also on the base of the car. It's hard to read thru the plastic bubble on the card so you have to remove car, as it's stamped into the base by machine, not molded in.

The 4 digit number, on the back of the card, I'm holding for 'witchcitybird' is 0943. But I don't want to open his pack to get the number off the car.

Mine are 0949 and 1003 for the singles and 0943 and 0942 for the four packs.

My 5 pack is # 0942. ( The T Bird in this pkg. looks like an 02).

All my singles (I have 4 of them) are # 0941. (look like a 56 with continental kit). It is NOT the same car that is in the singles.
