oh boy! the run starts but I think I'll wait until tomorrow to do my runs. Just checked the local Walmart yesterday and they were still cleaning up and organizing their shelves from the after Christmas sales. but, they had cleared space on their diecast shelves for more products.

I picked up 2 of the 5 packs today with the t-bird (sorry Skip, I cleaned them out). No single t-birds on the shelf this trip.

The single paks with tbirds haven't made it yet to my area - have only checked 4 though so far. Even opened a brand new box and there were none in it. (You should have seen how quickly Walmart stockers showed up on that isle as I was opening the box though but they did not interfere as it was a box they would have had to open anyway.)

I always check the toy department at Walmarts and yesterday I found two of the single packages. Huge expenditure, 88 cents a piece. I'll trade one for a full size Nieman-Marcus.

They are scarce. Found none at my local Walmarts-maybe Ski beat me to it. However some friends have found several for me. As a point of reference, they are cheaper at WM than the price Maisto quoted me to buy them exclusively (only the Bird and not the other items in the assortment), so I am glad I passed on that "opportunity". Of course, I would have had the distinction of having over 2000 of them.

I happened onto a brand new case of the assortment containing the Thunderbirds the other day. Each case only contains two of them. No wonder they are hard to find. First you need the case that contains them, then you need find them still in that case - it's tough to get both things to happen.

I'm not making a concerted effort to find them at the 8 Walmarts I can get to easily. but I just went to one I was passing by and found 2 last week. It's the only singles that I've found.

I'm from Canada and found them at a Wal-Mart. Mind you I'm in a boarder town and the Wal-Mart is in Michigan.
