First love... that is hard to not to be your best ever car... FREEDOM

Mine was a 1974 Monte Carlo...

My 02 Bird is next and have already owned it longer than any other car I ever bought...

My third choice would be my 1975 Triumph motorcycle that I bought new and chopped..

                    Hey, justjon.

My first car also was a blue 53 Ford, flathead, three on the tree, but mine was (unfortunately) a 4 dr.

It was the only car I ever sold for a profit. Paid $250 in Dec 1959, sold it June 1960 for $275.

                      Re: number 1?

This is a fun thread. There are a couple of cars listed that I would have loved to have owned and driven back in the days- 1976 Trans Am and 1969 AMX. I'm fortunate I didn't, I probably would have wrapped it around a tree. Speed kills when you're young and fearless. The 280Z was more than enough for me with only 180 hp, I had some close calls in it.

                        Re: number 1?

Here it is in a nutshell:

I love my '02 Thunderbird to the point of distraction! I have wanted a two-seater Thunderbird since I was nine years old. It is number one in my heart and always will be.

There. I said it, and I'm glad.

Wish I could say the 02 bird is #1, but it's #2 behind the 58 Chevy Impala Convertible, my first car bought after college graduation.

For sheer looks, my first car, a 59 Impala 2 door hardtop.
For general all-day driving, our 2000 Tahoe.
For fun-fun-fun, our 1965 Thunderbird convertible. This used to be our vacation car and has been the means to introduce us to all our Thunderbirding friends. Now it's the 05 Thunderbird. Much more reliable for the cross-country traveling that we do.
