I would venture to guess that the cars have not changed much in looks in 33 years, if still on the road. But, like the rest of us -----

                Re: number 1?

1 - 1972 Gran Torino Sport CJ (Green on White)
                2 - 2003 T-Bird
                3 - 1967 MGB
                4 - 64 Fairlane Sports Coupe

Have had around 14 of the 72 Torinos, More MGB's than I can shake a stick at, and at least one of every year fairlane from 62 up...the 03 was the first TBird I owned and drove, as well as my first "brand new" car, (had a couple of 71's and 75's but took em apart for other projects)

Almost forgot...need to give honorable mention to the 79 Mercury Capri Ghia 5.0, Green on White that we bought for my program director (wife) paid $200 and used it 9 years, should have never sold that. if anyone comes across an Emerald Green Fox chassis mercury capri with a white interior, i'm looking for one....

                    Re: number 1?

Kinda' like asking me which of my daughters I think is number one. Well here we go:

                    #1.0 55 T-bird
                    #1.1 56 T-bird
                    #1.2 02 T-bird

Each car is unique and has it own set of likes and dislikes. I guess you could say I'm like Bret Favre when comes time to making a decision. Any given day this order could and does change.

                    2002 Blue/Full Accent Blue/Blue/White
                    1956 Black/Red and White/White
                    1955 T-bird Blue/Blue and White/White

                        Re: number 1?

1.02 Bird absolutely first on the list
2.69 Camaro, 350 blast to drive
3.72 Olds Cutlass Supreme 455 a real terror off the line
                        4.68 Chevelle Malibu,tight winding 327
5.83 Mustang convertible,351W with lots of hi performance parts, very scary
6.88 Formula Firebird 5 speed, dog through the 1/4 but top end was there
7.69 Nova, another tight winding 327
8.73 914 Porsche a real blast on twisting roads
9.68 Dodge Charger only a 318, but enjoyable
10.77 Olds Starfire lowly V-6, but still fun with a 5 speed.
                        11.73 MGB just a blast
12.73 Vega GT neat little automobile but poor engine design

#1) '02 Retro Bird (ordered new).
#2) '68 Pontiac GTO (ordered new. This is the worst car I ever owned. Only kept it one year because of multitude of problems. Bought first Ford as result. Is likely the one car I would like to have back the most now. 40 years, and a strong market for them, changes one's perspective).
#3) '66 Impala 2 dr hdtp (Only a 6 cyl stick, but was my first car, and it was new).
#4) '63 TBird Hdtp (first Tbird, purchased in '74).
                            #5) '65 TBird hdtp (purchased in '95)
#6) '08 Taurus X (not the sexiest of crossovers by a long shot, but looks, drives, handles great).
#7) '96 Jeep Cherokee "Country" ( now is daughter's. Hope to get it back if she ever gives it up. Had great fun off-roading in it <Jeep Jamborees, etc>).
#8) '69 Ford Galaxie 2door hdtp (first Ford).
#9) '72 TBird (Purchased in '77, was wife's daily driver for a few years).

                            Many other also rans.
